Charles Kemp

Charles Kemp is based in the University of Melbourne's School of Psychological Sciences. His current research aims to analyze linguistic and cultural variation, and he has worked on topics including kin naming, color naming, and constellations across cultures. His approach draws on tools from information theory, natural language processing, statistics, and AI and he is especially interested in the analysis of large, naturally occurring data sets such as dictionaries and linguistic corpora.
