Chris Bailey

Chris is an academic, artist and musician whose work sits at the intersection of neurodiversity, technology and the body. He specialises in critiquing the reductionist tendency to equate the mind with the brain, a central theme in their research. His work on neurodivergent literacies has been externally rated as "world leading" and his foundational research regarding Minecraft received two awards from the Literacy Research Association (LRA).

These achievements ground his current inquiry into how our understanding of neurodiversity is distorted by a reliance on "data-only" models that ignore the essential role of the body and emotion.
