Christoph Brodnik

Dr Christoph Brodnik holds the position of Research Knowledge Manager at the Monash Sustainable Development Institute, focusing on the Energy Upgrades for Australian Homes project. The project will contribute to Australia's energy transition by improving the energy efficiency of Australian homes, reducing carbon emissions and energy bills.

Throughout his career, Christoph has worked at the intersection of the public, private and academic sectors on topics related to innovation and sustainability. His roles have required connecting different stakeholder groups, translating expert knowledge for different target audiences and supporting collaborative processes through knowledge services.

Most recently, he worked with policymakers, innovation agencies and sustainability entrepreneurs. This work included mission oriented innovation policy, program design with a focus on portfolios and systems-change as well as the development of monitoring, evaluation and learning frameworks for transformation-oriented projects and programs.

Christoph has a background in environmental science and a PhD in environmental sociology from Monash University. He brings expertise in developing strategies, designing processes and tools, as well as mobilising actors and resources to support transformative change initiatives.
