Christopher Fear

Christopher lectures in Politics and International Relations at the University of Hull, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He researches and teaches in the history of political thought, British political history, and contemporary political theory. He specializes in the political philosophy of conservatism, liberalism, and of the British Idealists (or "English Hegelians"). His academic publications include critiques of the American pluralist, William E. Connolly, studies of conservative ideology, analyses of the philosophy of history of R. G. Collingwood, and a study of the political essays of the British author and artist, Wyndham Lewis. He has also conducted research on Idealist theories of punishment.
