Christopher Turbill

Christopher Turbill is an Associate Professor in animal physiological ecology at the School of Science and the Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University. His research aims to understand how animal's cope with variation in environmental conditions and resources to survive and reproduce, with a focus on birds and mammals. Christopher is particularly interested in the field of thermal ecology: how animals interact with variation in thermal conditions, how bird and mammals regulate their body temperature, and how their thermal physiology is linked to their behavioural ecology. Christopher has also worked outside of academia in the area of wildlife conservation and ecology, and he has particular expertise in bats. See: https://www.batslab.org
