Clem Bastow

Clem Bastow is an Autistic advocate, screenwriter and cultural critic, currently undertaking a PhD in Autistic experience and screenwriting at RMIT. Her debut book Late Bloomer: How An Autism Diagnosis Changed My Life (Hardie Grant) was published in 2021. She has taught screenwriting at University of Melbourne, short story at RMIT, and holds a Master of Screenwriting from VCA. Her writing has appeared in books including Investigating Stranger Things (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021), ReFocus: The Films Of Elaine May (Edinburgh University Press, 2019), and publications including The Saturday Paper, The Guardian and The Age.
