Dr. Dunne is an emergency medicine physician and PhD (epidemiology) candidate at the University of Calgary.
His research program focuses on resuscitation interventions, with his PhD thesis addressing knowledge gaps in the management of foreign body airway obstructions (choking). He has been a member of several working groups for the International Liaison Committee for Resuscitation (ILCOR)’s Basic Life Support Task Force, the American Heart Association’s Drowning Resuscitation Working Group, and the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Drowning Guideline Development Group.
