Cynthia Holmes

Dr. Cynthia Holmes is the Dean of the Ted Rogers School of Management at Toronto Metropolitan University, the largest business school in Canada, with over 12,000 students across twelve undergraduate programs and five graduate programs. She is dedicated to elevating society and the world of business through impactful research and experiential education.

Dr. Holmes has previously served as Interim Vice Provost Academic and as Associate Dean Faculty and Academic. She was also the founding Chair of the Real Estate Management Department. Prior to joining Toronto Metropolitan University, she held academic positions at the Schulich School of Business at York University and at Florida State University and has ten years of industry experience at financial institutions. Dr. Holmes' academic research focuses on real estate finance and housing economics, with specific interests in affordable housing and student housing. She holds a PhD in Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia, an MBA from Concordia University and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from McGill.

She lives in Toronto with her husband, teenage son and two dogs. She serves as Vice-Chair of the Toronto Zoo Board of Management and has an old viral video featuring otters holding hands.
