David Simon Lee

I am Professor of Atmospheric Science and leader of the Aviation and Climate Research group within Manchester Metropolitan University. My background is in atmospheric science, and I have specialized in climate science for the last 20 years. I have worked extensively in international fora including as a Lead Author for the IPCC and UNEP Emissions Gap Reports, the Inernational Civil Aviation Organization, and the International Maritime Organization. I have advised the European Commission and UK goverment, including the Committee on Climate Change, on aviation/climate I have a strong interest and skills in developing links between science and policy.
