David Ubilava is an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Sydney. His research interests are in food and agricultural markets, specifically focusing on the role of climatic factors on commodity price dynamics, and the nexus between armed conflict and prices.

Dr. Ubilava's research is funded by the Australian Research Council. He has published in the leading field and interdisciplinary journals, including the American Journal of Agricultural Economics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, and World Development, among others.

David Ubilava currently serves as a co-editor-in-chief of Food Policy. He has previously served as an associate editor of the American Journal of Agricultural Economics.
