Debbie Palmer

Associate Professor Debbie Palmer is a research dietitian (BSc, BND, PhD) and is team leader of the Nutrition In Early Life Research Team at The Kids Research Institute Australia. Her research focuses on early-life nutrition and allergy prevention. She has conducted 12 randomised controlled trials investigating nutritional strategies for allergy prevention during pregnancy, breastfeeding, and infancy. The goal of these trials has been to improve the evidence-based dietary recommendations to prevent allergies. Associate Professor Debbie Palmer is supported by a Stan Perron Charitable Foundation Fellowship. She is the food allergy stream co-chair of the National Allergy Centre of Excellence (NACE).
