Ehsan Nabavi

Dr. Ehsan Nabavi is a Senior Lecturer in Technology and Society at the Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science, ANU. He is the founder and head of ANU’s Responsible Innovation Lab, which explores how innovation can be designed, assessed, and governed responsibly. His research focuses on responsible computing and modelling, Responsible AI, and cultivating critical and engaged approaches to innovations aimed at addressing society’s wicked problems.

In addition to dozens of book chapters, reports, and essays, Ehsan's work has been featured in several journals, including Science, Nature, Futures, Sustainability Science, Nature Humanities and Social Sciences Communications, IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society, Journal of Cleaner Production, Water Alternatives, Environmental Management, Frontiers in Communication, and Water Research.

Before his current position, he was a Research Fellow at the ANU School of Cybernetics and the Science, Technology, and Society group at Harvard Kennedy School. Ehsan has also held visiting positions at several world-leading institutions, including the School of African and Oriental Studies (SOAS) at the University of London and the Center for Development Research (ZEF) at the University of Bonn.
