I'm a new assistant professor and I've been short-listed for the CIFAR Azrieli global scholars program. I am interviewing at the end of March and would appreciate more opportunity to present my research. I'm most interested in the question 'is permafrost frozen' which essentially looks at the idea that at below-zero temperatures, there can actually be a lot of liquid water in permafrost. This has huge implications for the way we understand it, and I would present an 'explanation' piece of what this might mean for ecosystems, infrastructure, communities, and global climate.
