I am a Lecturer with a research specialism in independent music and online platforms. Before joining University of Leeds in October 2021, I worked at University of York, University of Western Ontario, and University of Oslo. My monograph DIY Music and the Politics of Social Media was published by Bloomsbury in January 2021.

I also have experience as a songwriter and performer with the band Trust Fund – we toured the UK and Europe multiple times, and released several albums that were well-received by publications including Pitchfork, Rolling Stone, and The Guardian. Our songs have around four million plays on Spotify in total.
