Eloise Litterbach

Eloise is a Research Fellow at the Australian Centre for Behavioural Research in Diabetes (the ACBRD; a partnership between Diabetes Victoria and Deakin University). Eloise completed her PhD (2019-2023) within Deakin University's Institute for Physical Activity and Nutrition, exploring the use of screens during shared mealtimes in families with young children. In 2022, Eloise joined the ACBRD, exploring diabetes language and stigma specific to gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Eloise's current research program focuses on supporting optimal health and wellbeing for women and families after GDM. Her research explores the role of Family Meals as a context for health promotion post-GDM, and seeks to understand health professionals and stakeholder attitudes towards their roles and responsibilities in supporting T2D and CVD risk-reduction in families after GDM.
Eloise co-leads the Family Meals Collective; which brings together like-minded researchers from across the world working to understand family meals.
