Farnaz Sheikhi

Farnaz Sheikhi is a Postdoctoral Associate at the University of Calgary, specializing in Precision Agriculture. Her research focuses on making advanced technologies more accessible for real-world application on farms. With a strong background in artificial intelligence, computer vision, and algorithm design, she develops deep learning–based solutions to automate disease detection, classification, and treatment. The designed models are both affordable and easy to work with, providing critical support to farmers during the demanding and narrow harvest window — ultimately improving productivity and yield.
