Gabriel A. Pinto

My research focuses on understanding the formation and evolution of asteroids and rocky planets in the early Solar System through chemical, isotopic, and petrographic analyses of meteorites and their components. I specialize in the mineralogy and petrology of meteorites, with particular emphasis on unequilibrated chondrites. In addition to my core work, I am also interested in parachute or neo-colonialism practices in the Atacama Desert, alteration of meteorites, and the potential colonization of extraterrestrial materials by microorganisms.
