Gabriel Clark

Gabriel Clark is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Design at the University of Technology Sydney. He is a visual communication design practitioner and academic whose expertise is in comics, graphic storytelling, motion design, digital photo media, and multi-platform storytelling.

For close to 15 years, he has developed and delivered award winning and innovative design and storytelling curricula for the Visual Communications degree.

His research is predominately focused on graphic storytelling and performance an area where he has been awarded several grants and commissions for his work.

His funded research projects Include the ARC linkage project Folio Stories of Australian Comics, co-editor of the scholarly book Folio Essays on Australian Comics from Palgrave Macmillian and co author of the Graphic Storytellers at Work report for Creative Australia.

His practice-based research extends into producing award-winning and innovative public facing storytelling events and experiences. He conceived and co-produces the cult graphic storytelling event Read to Me, the award-winning multimodal storytelling project Radio With Pictures, and is a co-founder of Graphic festival at the Sydney Opera House.
