Dr. Tigwell’s expertise covers design, accessibility, and human-computer interaction. Dr. Tigwell’s research focuses on improving the accessibility of digital spaces (e.g., mobile apps and websites) for people with congenital, acquired, or situational impairments, through investigating the various challenges that designers face at different stages of their process, which results in inaccessible design.
