Gary has a PhD in Biological Sciences (University of Warwick) and a second PhD in Critical Event Studies with Science Communication (University of Salford). He is currently undertaking an Executive MBA in Sports Management at the Real Madrid Graduate School, Universidad Europea. Gary is a Member of the Royal Society of Edinburgh's Young Academy of Scotland.
