My field is the cross-cultural analysis of popular cultural products. My main area of interest is Western Europe, though on occasions I also include North America, Latin America and Russia. I have been a Visiting Professor in Argentina, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain and the United States (Tennessee and Pennsylvania). I have also given invited papers at conferences in Bhutan, Germany, Norway, Russia, Spain and Taiwan, as well as the UK.
