Ian H. Rowlands

Ian Rowlands is a Professor in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo (Canada). He has previously served as the University’s Associate Vice-President, International. Ian has research, teaching, and community interests in sustainable energy transitions and management strategies; global, national, and local climate change governance; and international higher education. Current foci include community engagement with prospective energy infrastructure projects, climate change mitigation policies at provincial and federal levels, community coalitions for energy transitions, and international networks in higher education. Ian is also a member of the Board of Directors for Waterloo Region Community Energy.
