Ian Lovering

Ian Lovering is a lecturer in international relations. He completed his PhD in International Relations in 2021 at the University of Sussex.

Ian’s research and teaching explores global political economy. In particular, he is interested in the fiscal politics of the state. He has explored this in two areas. First, the political economy of international fiscal coordination within the European Union. Second, the reform of the public sector in liberal welfare states.
