Iker Saitua

Iker Saitua is Associate Professor of Economic History and Political Economy at the University of the Basque Country (EHU). His research focuses on economic history and institutional change, spanning the American West and Central America, with particular attention to Guatemala. He is the author of Sheeptopia (University of Oklahoma Press, forthcoming) and has published in Agricultural History, Pacific Historical Review, and Historia Agraria. His article in the Pacific Historical Review was awarded the Robert W. Cherny Prize by the Pacific Coast Branch of the American Historical Association.
