Ismini Vasileiou

Dr Ismini Vasileiou is an Associate Professor at De Montfort University and a national lead on cyber resilience. She co-chairs the UK Cyber Cluster Collaboration (UKC3) and directs the East Midlands Cyber Security Cluster, working with government, industry, and universities to strengthen the UK’s digital defences.

Her research and teaching focus on how people learn about cyber security, from flipped classrooms and AI-driven learning tools to building work-based pathways into the profession. She has advised national bodies including the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology and the QAA, and has secured funding to develop large-scale skills and resilience programmes.

Recognised as the 2024 Academic Champion for Cyber Diversity, she is committed to making the cyber workforce more inclusive and better prepared for future threats.
