Jack is a public policy researcher specialising in decentralisation and place-based policy. He is currently Lecturer in Politics and Public Administration at the University of Liverpool.
In recent years, Jack has researched spatial inequality, local institutions, and healthy urban development at the Universities of Bristol, Cambridge, Manchester, Surrey, and Leeds. He has worked in partnership with government departments (MHCLG, DHSC) and leading think tanks (IfG, Demos) to impact the national policy debate on issues around English devolution, local accountability, and policy geographies.
