- Professor of Biobehavioral Health, Penn State
I am a social and health psychologist (a tenured faculty member) with 20+ years of experience examining stress and health connections in ways that weave together multiple interactive factors, including complex psychosocial dynamics, affect, and biomarkers related to stress and health (including inflammation). I also have expertise in examining gender, age, and other aspects of individual variation as factors that influence connections between stress and health. I am a principal investigator (PI) on multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) that involve understanding how stress and mental health relate to cognitive aging and dementia risk.
