Jenny Macleod

I'm a senior lecturer in 20th century history at the University of Hull. I'm interested in the way in which the First World War and particularly the Gallipoli campaign, have been remembered, as well as the relationship between commemoration and national identity. My publications include 'Reconsidering Gallipoli' (Manchester University Press, 2004) and 'Gallipoli: Great Battles' (Oxford University Press, 2015). It traces the campaign and its memory in five participant nations: Australia, New Zealand, Britain, Ireland and Turkey.
