Dr Jesse Jansen is cognitive and health psychologist who works in Public Health. Her research focuses on health communication and (shared) decision-making in different clinical areas, such as cardiovascular disease and oncology and pharmacy. She has a special interest in decision-making among older adults and their clinicians. Current projects focus on communication and decision making around topics such as appropriate prescribing of medications for older adults, breast cancer screening and polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS). The ultimate aim of her research is to optimize health communication and decision-making by developing practical interventions for patients as well as clinicians.
