I'm a historian and writer exploring power, marginality, and resistance across different contexts - from post-war British housing to contemporary forced migration. I hold a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester and have lectured at UCL, Brunel University, and O.P. Jindal Global University. In 2022 I won the Dawn Foster Memorial Essay Prize for my article on tenant activism. My first book Eviction: A Social History of Rent will be published by Verso in September 2025.
