Joceline Andersen

Joceline Andersen is a film and media scholar. Her research interests include audience reception, internet culture and online viewing, and community building through moving images. Her fbook, Stars and Silhouettes: The History of the Cameo Role in Hollywood, traces the development of cameos from early Hollywood to the present, and examines how audiences negotiate their place in pop culture through their powers of recognition. Her recent work examines film collectors and audiences for industrial films produced by the forestry industry.
