My research focusses on soil-vegetation-water interactions that translate to Nature-based Solutions for water management. This involves managing water storage and flow via leaky barriers, soil management, wood in rivers, tree planting and other vegetation management. I've provided policy advice to Scottish Government through multiple reports on land use and water scarcity and Nature-based Solutions for flood and drought management alongside other ecosystem benefits.
