Julia Cole

Julia Cole is a Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Michigan. Her research uses data and models to understand environmental change in regions and systems with substantial ecological or human impacts. Her work emphasizes the history of drought in semiarid regions and the variability of tropical oceans and their influence. Dr. Cole's lab at the University of Michigan generates, interprets and contextualizes records of past climate change from corals and caves to better understand ongoing and future changes.
