Karina Garcia

Karina Garcia is a researcher and lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering of the Technological University of Panama (UTP), focused on climate change and sustainable development.
Her academic work has been focused on water security and climate resilience with experiences in regional climate and catastrophe models applications, and disaster risk assessment in coastal communities. Work that has been developed through collaborations within regional and transdisciplinary projects. In the role of youth climate ambassador from The Climate Reality Project Latin America, supported Panama's delegation at COP29 negotiations.
