Kerry Harris

Kerry is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Coaching at Cardiff Metropolitan University with over a decade of experience across teaching, research and applied practice. Her academic work includes supervising students at undergraduate, master’s and doctoral levels, as well as leading programmes and contributing to curriculum design.

She brings extensive practical experience in coaching and coach development, holding FAW/UEFA A and Elite Youth A Licences. Kerry spent over 20 years as Performance Director and Head Coach at Cardiff Met WFC and is a Level 4 Coach Developer with the Welsh Rugby Union. She has also supported coach developers through the Sport Wales Coach Developer programme.

Kerry’s research focuses on coach development, experiential learning and improving experiences for women and marginalised groups in sport. She has collaborated with organisations such as the Welsh Rugby Union, Team Wales and Tennis Wales to design and deliver programmes that promote equity and support meaningful learning in sporting environments.
