Kharisma Nabila

Kharisma Nabila is an early-career researcher who obtained his Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Arts by Research degree in Archaeology at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Indonesia. His research specializes in archaeoastronomy, the history of astronomy, ethno-indigenous astronomy, and also expands into cultural studies. His expertise in archaeoastronomy has been recognized through his participation in an ongoing research collaboration with BRIN (Indonesia) and NARIT (Thailand) since 2024. His current work involves an international research project with the Department of History at UGM and the Royal Netherlands Institute of Southeast Asian and Caribbean Studies. He has become an active speaker at academic conferences and workshops at the University of Melbourne, Australia; Bibliothèque Nationale de France & Observatoire de Paris, France; and other institutions. His work has appeared in Springer, Oxford University Press, IOP Proceedings, and reputable journals. He is now continuing to explore cultural astronomy through inscriptions, rock art, and the cultural sciences to deepen his knowledge of ethno-indigenous astronomy in Indonesia.
