Kim Webster

Kim is a social work graduate with 20 years experience in direct care, policy development and project management positions in both the government and non-government sectors. She holds a Masters of Science (Research). Kim has a particular interest in strengthening the role of social and economic policy to address the social determinants of health, especially those affecting women and migrant and refugee communities. She has played a leadership role in the National Community Attitudes Towards Violence Against Women Survey, a project led by Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety. In previous roles, she has led the design and management of a number of research and policy development projects undertaken to inform the development of public policy to address violence against women, reduce race-based discrimination and support cultural diversity. She is currently completing her Phd focussing on the role of attitudes and social norms in violence against women.
