Krista Mehari

Dr. Krista Mehari is an associate professor and clinical psychologist in the Charles Stewart Mott Department of Public Health at Michigan State University. Her work focuses on youth violence prevention, including firearm injury prevention and cyberbullying. She uses participatory research to partner with youth and communities to develop, implement, and evaluate youth violence prevention strategies. Her research has been funded by Federal agencies including the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institutes of Health, foundations including The John Templeton Foundation and the Spencer Foundation, and other agencies and organizations. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Society for Prevention Research and is on the editorial board for multiple scientific, peer-reviewed publications, including Prevention Science, School Mental Health, and Research on Child and Adolescent Psychopathology.
