Linda Merewyn Lorenza

Linda Merewyn Lorenza is a Senior Lecturer in Theatre at CQUniversity, specialising in applied theatre and participatory action research (PAR). Her interdisciplinary practice explores social innovation, health, rehabilitation, and youth engagement through co-designed research methods.

Linda entered academia from the Arts industry, having led arts education and audience development programs at Bell Shakespeare and Sydney Symphony. As Senior Project Officer, the Arts at ACARA, Linda facilitated the national consultations and resulting development of the first iteration of the Australian Curriculum: The Arts.

As Chief Investigator on multiple funded projects, she employs applied theatre and creative methodologies to address community concerns around health, justice, and social media. Linda's research empowers participants to make informed decisions while informing policy.

She leads collaborative multidisciplinary teams connecting arts, health, and community, demonstrating how applied theatre can drive meaningful social change and amplify marginalised voices.
