Lisa Hajjar

My areas of expertise include law and violence, torture, war crimes, human rights, and military occupations and courts. I have published extensively in both academic and journalistic outlets, the latter including The Nation, Al Jazeera English, Open Democracy, and Middle East Report. I am currently completing a book, written for a general audience and to be published by the trade wing of University of California Press; the title is The War in Court: The Inside Story of the Fight against Torture in the "War on Terror."
