Lucía Martín Pérez

My academic journey has always been closely connected to my interest in languages, cultures, and international experiences. Over the years, I have lived, studied, and teaching in Spain, Ireland, South Korea, and Japan, experiences that have shaped the way I understand communication, education, and intercultural relationships. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching. My academic background also includes a Master’s Degree in Bilingualism and Education, an IB Certificate in Teaching and Learning, a Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language, and a Bachelor’s Degree in East Asian Studies, specialising in Korea. My research interests include psycholinguistics, sociopragmatics, intercultural communication, and contrastive linguistics, with a particular focus on Spanish and Korean. I am currently examining moral emotions, especially guilt and shame, as socially grounded emotions, and how they relate to attributional style, pragmatic choices, and moral evaluations in academic contexts in L1 and L2
