Lucy Poxon

Dr Lucy Poxon is a Senior Lecturer in Counselling Psychology with a particular interest in grief and bereavement and qualitative research.

She completed her Professional Doctorate training in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London, where she specialised in grief and bereavement. Before her Doctoral training, she qualified as an Occupational Psychologist and her professional experience in corporate finance and Six Sigma project management provides her with insight into the exacting demands of multinational corporations.

Lucy has over ten years of clinical experience, working successfully with adults presenting with anxiety, panic attacks, work-related stress, childhood and domestic abuse, depression, chronic pain, relationship issues, gender dysphoria, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and grief across a wide range of services including the NHS, university, private and third sector.
