Ludovic Slimak

Ludovic Slimak is an archaeologist and cultural anthropologist, senior researcher at the CNRS (Université de Toulouse).
His work explores what it means to be human through its margins: hunter-gatherer societies, Neanderthals, and the first polar populations.
By examining moments of contact, rupture and collapse, his research focuses on worlds at their limits, and on how human worlds disappear when difference ceases to be thinkable.
He is the author of The Naked Neanderthal, The Last Neanderthal and The Naked Sapiens.
