I am interested in the study of the nutrient cycles alteration (N and P) and in the relationships existing between agricultural practices, productivity, pollution, and environmental policy. I am currently modeling the agro-food system including the nutrient use efficiencies of cropping and livestock systems, agronomic performance, international trade, human diet, and their effect on GHG emissions and nutrient surpluses globally and also in the Mediterranean region, including past trends and future scenarios.
