Marios Biskas

My research is broadly on emotions and particularly directed towards discovering the psychological dynamics of nostalgia. For example, what psychological processes are involved in the creation of nostalgic memories? What are the psychological effects of nostalgia on people? How does nostalgia help people cope with distressing situations? I am also investigating how people satisfy their core psychological needs (e.g., needs for self-worth, belongingness, and meaning in life) in the service of sustaining psychological well-being.
