Martin Williams

Martin Williams is a postdoctoral research fellow at Swinburne University, currently working with the Centre for Mental Health. His interests in psychology and pharmacology have led him towards the multidisciplinary study of psychoactive compounds and their roles in contemporary society. Martin is Executive Director of PRISM Ltd (https://prism.org.au), a health-promotion charity that aims to coordinate Australian contributions to global academic research into the wide-ranging medical and psycho-social applications of psychoactive drugs. He is also a founding member of Entheogenesis Australis (EGA), a non-profit educational/harm-minimization association focused on understanding the historical use and societal impacts of medicinal plants and chemicals. Since 2004, EGA has organized annual conferences and symposia, hosting prominent Australian and international thinkers in the field.
