Matej Lipar is head of the Department of Geosciences at Anton Melik Geographical Institute of the Research Centre of the Slovenian Academy of Sciences and Arts (ZRC SAZU). His research is focussed on karstology, speleology, geomorphology, physical geography, geology, geochemistry, palaeoclimatology, sedimentology and geochronology.
