I am the Executive Director of Global Nexus and the M.G. DeGroote Institute for Infectious Disease Research at McMaster University and Canada Research Chair in Viral Pandemics. I have also served on the National Advisory Committee on Immunization COVID-19 working group several national committees focused on pandemic science and coordination. My laboratory is focused on understanding the impact of viruses with pandemic potential, and the development of new prophylactic and therapeutic countermeasures.
