Mei Li

Dr. Mei Li (Ph. D. in International Communication) is a Lecturer in the Discipline of Media and Communication at the University of Sydney. Mei's research inquires into the Public Diplomacy of state actors seeking to maximize discursive power on the world stage. Drawing on her experience in higher education, her current research interest focuses on International Education as a Public Diplomacy resource. Her publications include a monograph, several book chapters published by top-ranked publishers such as Routledge; as well as articles published in leading journals such as Public Relations Review, Journalism, and The Journal of International Communication.
Mei's industry experience in media and higher education sectors informs her research and teaching practice. She is also actively involved in a broad network of scholars around the world through research projects and international research associations.
