I am an Assistant Professor in the Dalla Lana School of Public Health and the Joint Centre for Bioethics at the University of Toronto and a Bioethicist at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). My research and teaching focus on public health ethics related to pandemics, including COVID-19 and HIV/AIDS, as well as other topics in applied ethics, bioethics and social and political philosophy. I completed my Ph.D. in Philosophy at York University and I held postdoctoral positions at Western University and the University of Victoria. I have published articles in several academic journals as well as the Conversation Canada (republished in the National Post and the Vancouver Sun), the Winnipeg Free Press, and Ricochet, and I have presented my research at many professional academic conferences.
